The Walk for Independence supports the Carroll Center for the Blind's mission of empowering those who are blind or visually impaired to achieve independence and to lead a fulfilling life. Attendees will complete a 1, 2, or 3-mile walk around the Mt. Ida campus of UMass Amherst in Newton followed by activities for all ages.

2024 Walk for Independence

When: Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 8:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. ET

Where: Mount Ida Campus of UMass Amherst – 100 Carlson Ave, Newton, MA

Walk kick-off: 9:30 am

Post-walk BBQ and activities: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
