International Training Program (ITP)

An eight– week program for professionals from other countries to observe and learn about rehabilitation training in a campus– based setting.

Since 1988 the Carroll Center has offered an 8-week program of education and training to working professionals from around the world. Seventy-one (71) teachers and administrators have attended the International Training Program, representing 37 countries: Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, China, Croatia, Denmark, England, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Israel, Jamaica, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Latvia, Lesotho, Palestine, Papua, N.G., Philippines, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tanzania, Uruguay, and Vietnam.. The 71 individuals were chosen from an applicant pool from which their chance for selection each year is greater than 8-1. The International Program is promoted mainly by word of mouth, by presentations at national and international conferences, and through announcements in professional journals.
