Using RSS to stay current with Carroll Center announcements, activities, and blog posts may be a little too technical for some of our readers. That is why the Carroll Center is pleased to announce that we will now offer announcements via email for all of the categories listed on this page. Simply follow the link to the appropriate category and fill out the form. We regret that you will have to complete a CAPTCHA challenge in order to subscribe. However, the CAPTCHA offers an accessible audio challenge. Once you complete the form and verify your email address, should start receiving emails whenever a new post or announcement is made in the category most appropriate for you!

Notes on completing the CAPTCHA

CAPTCHAs are a necessary evil required to prevent web forms from being filled out by automated bots. They have long provided difficulty to users of access technology. As far as CAPTCHAs go, the one required to complete this process is very simple. When prompted to enter the text displayed, simply tab once more out of the text input field. This will bring focus to a link that will provide an audio CAPTCHA. Simply press the spacebar and wait approximately 3 seconds. You will hear a series of numbers read to you. Listen carefully and remember these numbers (usually 3 or 4). Shift + TAB back to the text input field and complete the form as you normally would (enter forms processing mode, type the numbers, and submit the form. This is the typical process for most access technology).
