2008 Computing For College Program a great success
Eleven high school juniors and seniors and college freshman benefited from their two-week Computing for College Course as they advanced their technology skills. They learned to download books, use a scanner, place footnotes in documents, access and create PowerPoint presentations, and use notetakers such as Pacmate, M Power and Braille Plus. The students also utilized a real college web management program.
Students represented the states of Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, New York and Rhode Island.
Each student received a certificate of completion upon the conclusion of their program, and those college bound students will be attending the following colleges or universities:
- Cornell University
- Dean College
- Fitchburg State College
- Eastern Nazarene College
- University of Rhode Island.
