Carroll Awards Deadline for Nominations Extended

April 30, 2008

The Carroll Awards Committee has extended the deadline for submitting nominations to the Carroll Society until April 30, 2008. Several successful candidates have been recently identified and the Committee decided to extend the date to give the nominators ample time for their candidate to be considered.

This year’s Carroll Awards will mark the 26th season of recognizing outstanding blind and visually impaired employees, who have made significant contributions to their organizations through exceptional ability and job performance. The Carroll Awards are a joint effort between The Carroll Center for the Blind and the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind.

Persons inducted into the Carroll Society over the years represent a wide variety of occupations and professions, and their achievements are summarized in a publication, Profiles of Success, published by the Carroll Center.

If you know of a blind or visually impaired person who demonstrates the highest degree of excellence as an employee or is successfully self-employed, we invite you to nominate him/her to be recognized through the Carroll Awards. Nominations may come from any source but must be confirmed and approved by the candidate’s employer.
